Oslo Kulturnatt på Kloden teater: En kveld om sorg, fellesskap og håp

How do we live with grief? And how do we find a language for experiences that can be difficult to put into words?

17.08.2026

As part of Oslo Kulturnatt, TrAP and Kloden Theatre invite audiences to an evening of performing arts, conversation and food. The evening will feature the first public showing of Sorg i dag, glemt i morgen? (Grief Today, Forgotten Tomorrow?), a new monologue performance by Rania Iraki, followed by a shared meal of Palestinian food.

A Performance About Two Forms of Grief

Sorg i dag, glemt i morgen? is a monologue written and performed by Rania Iraki. The performance explores the many expressions of grief through two parallel narratives: the loss of someone you love, and the experience of carrying the collective grief of the Palestinian people.

Through the five stages of grief, denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance, audiences are invited into a world where the personal and the political meet. The performance encompasses the painful, the absurd and the unexpectedly humorous, exploring how people try to move forward when the world as they know it has changed.

The project draws on Iraki’s own experiences and raises questions that resonate with many. Grief can be about losing a person, but also about losing a home, a sense of belonging or a feeling of safety. The performance gives language to experiences that are often difficult to share, while also opening up space for community and recognition.

A First Showing

The performance is presented during Oslo Culture Night as its first public showing and marks an important step in the development of the project. Audiences are given an opportunity to experience the artistic process before the work is completed. The production is a collaboration between Kloden Theatre and TrAP.

The Conversation Continues Around the Table

After the performance, audiences are invited to share a meal of Palestinian food from Habibi. The meal offers an opportunity for conversations to continue, creating space for reflection and connection after the performance.

The event is free, but a ticket is required. Drinks will be available for purchase at the bar. Recommended for ages 14 and above.

Tickets are available here.
