Fremtiden skriver jeg selv: En filmserie om tilhørighet
A poetic film series about belonging, spread over two evenings. The films bring us into a moments where belonging and personal identity in a diverse society is a natural condition yet at the same time a choice. The series' first two films are centered around the theme of exploring alternate identities while the two next films show people who come together in search of something greater than themselves.

The program starts with the feature film debut by Fiona Tan, dealing with memory loss and how to create a new life in a troubled Europe. Next, Nele Wohlatz’s film is about a 15 year old Chinese immigrant worker who is starting a new life in the big city of Buenos Aires. The second part of the program includes the newest film by Anocha Suwichakornpong, a poetic story about the memories after a massacre at a university of Bangkok in 1976, carried out by the military. The final film is an Argentinian documentary by Pablo Agüero about four women who have all made the decision to break free from mainstream society. Instead, they have all found different new religious communities in Patagonia.
None of the films have previously been shown in Norway and all have English subtitles. The screening in Trondheim was in collaboration with Rake Visningsrom.
